If nutrition information is not available, RDs and APDs contact the manufacturer directly, or match the ingredient as closely as possible to a similar product.

  • Nutrition Facts Labels: Foundation Family Nutrition analyzes recipes and creates nutrition fact labels for food service professionals as well as diners who are interested in watching their weight or monitoring certain nutrients such as fat, carbohydrates, sugar, sodium and potassium. Turnaround time for creating nutrition labels is 2-7 business days.

  • Qualify Health Claims: Foundation Family Nutrition analyzes recipes and makes suggestions that allow food service professionals to make qualified health claims for recipes and menu options.

  • Menu and Recipe Analysis: Foundations Family Nutrition analyzes recipes for packaged items and menu items that are served to customers. In addition, the analysis includes an allergen statement and final review for packaged items.
